On Thursday 25th February I popped into Concordia to see how the work was progressing on our squash courts.
I'm no construction expert but it looks slow to me. Scaffolding work is still ongoing and this is day 4 of the project.
The heating work cannot begin until the scaffolding is securely in place and it isn't.
Don't be surprised if the work over runs well beyond 7th March.
Mr Scurfield has informed me that the work on our floors will take place after the heating work, the suggestion being there is no need to wait until the new financial year- Unless of course he knows just how long the courts are out of action !
I know some players are making the most of Blyth and Newbiggin courts, all I can say is that we need to be patient and optimistic that all this disruption will be worth it in the end.
